About
My husband and I moved overseas to London in 2001. We thought we’d be there for a year because it was for his job. One year turned into almost 8 years. We traveled all over Europe for 2 years and then were transferred to Hong Kong, where our daughter was born. I was so nervous about my first long haul flight with her that I found myself scouring the internet for help. She was about a month old and I was flying without my husband. We did this more times than I can count until she was 2 years old.
I thought it would be nice to have one site that’s entirely dedicated to flying with kids. Flying with kids can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be. I trained my daughter how to be a good flyer. She had to be as door to door from Hong Kong to San Diego (via Tokyo sometimes) is 24 hours. She also does not get jet lag, which took a lot of discipline on my part and hers. I promise that I’ll share with you everything I know! Trust me, I made a ton of mistakes.
This site is a work in progress but I would love feedback from other traveling parents. Guest blogs with links back to your sites are welcomed enthusiastically.
